Arts and Environment
Volunteers decorate the Church for holy days and other celebrations. Their beautiful work is enjoyed by all parishioners.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Parishioners are invited to be Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at parish Masses, Providence Medical Center, Providence Place or homebound. Training is required. Schedules will be provided for those who sign up.
Gift Bearers
Families are asked to bring forth the gifts at each liturgy. Please notify one of the ushers if your family wishes to serve in this way.
Greeters
Our ushers are the first to welcome every parishioner and visitor to St. Patrick Church at weekend Masses. Greeters offer assistance and answer questions, as needed. They are also responsible for distributing the bulletin and other materials, and keeping the pews neat before and after Mass.
Homebound Ministry
Volunteers visit homebound parishioners every Sunday morning to bring them prayer, Holy Communion and friendship. Families may arrange for ministers to visit by contacting the parish office.
Liturgy Committee
Monthly meetings usually in the morning are held at the rectory. The group works with the pastor and Music Director to plan all aspects of the liturgy.
Lectors
Parishioners serve as lectors at all parish liturgies. Training is provided annually.
Music Ministries
The Music Program at St. Patrick consists of a group of cantors, an adult choir, a children's choir, and various instrumentalists.
- The cantors are a select group of trained singers who lead the congregation in song during the liturgies.
- The Adult Choir sings at the 9:30 am Mass on Sundays and for special celebrations and Holy Days in the parish. They meet at 8:30am for rehearsal and then sing for the 9:30am liturgy.
- The Children's Choir is for children in grades 2 -8 and they sing at the 9:30 am Mass approximately once a month from October through May and also assist in some special celebrations in the parish.
- Rehearsals are scheduled on a semesterly basis. Students from both public and private schools are welcome.Various instrumentalists play for liturgies as needed and as available. Please contact the Music Director for more information on exact rehearsal days and times.
Sacristans
Adults serving as sacristans set up and clean up the sacred items used in liturgies. Training is required.
