What is the Mass?
"At the Last Supper, on the night he was betrayed, our Savior instituted the Eucharistic Sacrifice of his Body and Blood. He did this in order to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the centuries until he should come again, and so to entrust to his beloved spouse, the Church, a memorial of his death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a paschal banquet in which Christ is consumed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us" (Vatican II document Sacrosanctum Concilium, 47).
What is Adoration?
Eucharistic adoration is when the Eucharist, the Body of Christ, is exposed to the faithful for time of worship and prayer. All Catholics are warmly encouraged to avail themselves of this very precious form of prayer. When the Eucharist is exposed, Catholics are recommended to show extra care in their reverence for Our Lord. This is to remind us what a gift the Eucharist is for us and to deepen our relationship with Jesus.
Non-Catholics are also invited to Eucharistic Adoration. Many have attested to the great peace they have after attending a time of Adoration.
